Online Product Team – Swansea (possibly remote)

Purpose of the role
Help Enfys acquire good quality furniture using Social Media, primarily Facebook.

This vital role will enable Enfys to handle higher volumes and ultimately help more people.

What you will be doing

You will help the administrator, but have a fair degree of autonomy.

  • Answer queries on social media
    Proactively source stock on social media
    Listing items for sale online
    Clean & prep furniture, and take photos

Essential

  • Good communication skills
    Good written skills
    Independent working

Desirable

  • Photography
    Previous experience of online market places (e.g. Facebook, eBay, etc)
    Customer service
    Upholstery cleaning

When and where

The role is based at our Swansea showroom:

Conwy House
Castle Court
Swansea Enterprise Park
SA7 9LA

We are open Monday to Friday and would prefer volunteers who can commit to whole days if possible, but we are open to other options.

Support offered

Enfys will provide you with an induction and cover approved expenses. We may be able to provide some basic training.

Enfys Reuse & Restore exists to provide furniture for people in need, and in doing so we also protect the environment by diverting hundreds of tonnes from potentially going to waste.

What you get out of it is the same as us – the sheer joy of being able to show human kindness to people who are in a tough place in their lives. We are utterly determined that their interaction with Enfys is a happy one underpinned by providing a dignified experience.

All staff and volunteers are subject to having a basic DBS check. There is no cost to the volunteer.

We interview volunteers to ensure that Enfys is a good fit for them, and it gives Enfys & the volunteer an opportunity to discuss the role in more detail, as well as explain our vision and values.

Warehouse & Van Helper – Swansea

Purpose of the role
Help move furniture around the warehouse and showroom, and sometimes assist on the van with collections and deliveries.
This vital role will enable Enfys to handle higher volumes and ultimately help more people.

What you will be doing

You will help the administrator and van drivers, but have a fair degree of autonomy.

  • Assemble & clean furniture
    Rotate stock between the stock room & showroom
    Load and unload the van
    Collecting & delivering furniture from peoples homes
    Assess furniture for suitability (training will be given)
    Update paperwork
    Contact customers on route
    Navigating for the driver

Skills, experience and qualities needed
Essential

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
    Decent level of fitness (heavy lifting)
    Professional & friendly approach to customers

Desirable

  • Warehouse experience

Help our showroom to run smoothly and provide a happy, engaging experience for our customers.

This vital role will enable Enfys to handle higher volumes and ultimately help more people.

What you will be doing You will help the administrator, but have a fair degree of autonomy.

  • Merchandise stock
    Clean stock
    Pricing
    Cleaning showroom
    Serving customers
    Taking payment

Skills, experience and qualities needed

  • Essential
    Retail experience
    Merchandising experience
    Hands on & pro-active
    Physically able to move furniture around
    Basic IT skills
    Cash & card handling

Desirable

  • Merchandising in a furniture shop
    Customer service
