Punk begun in the seventies as a harsh, irregular uprising against mainstream pop music. Bands like Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, and Rancid boosted punk rock back in the mid-1990's. This time the mesh of speedy, simple rock with smooth popular melodies hang around on the TV. Today, so-called punk pop is the main piece of puzzle in the sphere of mainstream pop music. 1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's never-ending attempt to insult any adults in the locality, that tape featured a person dressed as an enema au pair girl on the booklet. The music on the record is youthful and never-to-be-forgotten with the massive hit song “What's My Age Again.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night
Girls can play punk rock, as well, and this record album is an abundant proof of that. The group styled themselves after the 1st punk band Ramones in NY with every singer going by the name Donna. Misery Business Download to listen to it.
3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless
Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas got into the top 10 of the pop album chart. It is filled with tales of high school and difficult mothers. The smashing hit track is “Lifestyles Of the Rich and Famous.”
4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Later declining from their mid-90's fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day retreated to the studio to put together punk's 1st opera. Although the popular punk band was nervous about their fanclub's reaction to Dearly Beloved, it turned out to be a UK punk rock classic topping the charts and winning a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of 2004.
