Punk begun in the seventies as a harsh, irregular uprising against mainstream pop music. Bands like Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, and Rancid boosted punk rock back in the mid-1990's. This time the mesh of speedy, simple rock with smooth popular melodies hang around on the TV. Today, so-called punk pop is the main piece of puzzle in the sphere of mainstream pop music. These ten record albums are fine starting points to learn pop punk.
1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's never-ending attempt to insult any adults in the locality, that tape featured a person dressed as an enema au pair girl on the booklet. The music on the record is youthful and never-to-be-forgotten with the massive hit song “What's My Age Again.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless
Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas got into the top 10 of the pop album chart. It is filled with tales of high school and difficult mothers. The smashing hit track is “Lifestyles Of the Rich and Famous.”
4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia
Later declining from their mid-90's fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day retreated to the studio to put together punk's 1st opera. Although the popular punk band was nervous about their fanclub's reaction to Dearly Beloved, it turned out to be a UK punk rock classic topping the charts and winning a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of 2004.
5. The Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray
The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Dando is the only punk musician to become a true teen dream-boy. By the way the rock band wrote down some splendid songs, too, including “The Turnpike Down”, “Download Paramore” and “Rest Assured”.
6. The Offspring - Not the One
Offspring a rock band were one of the devoted punk renascence bands from the middle of nineties. 7. Rancid - The 11th Hour

This French group from Canada showed up in the spotlight in 2002 with their record album One Day. This 2nd record album is even better and includes the hit single “I'm Just a Kid.”
9. Sum 41 - Nothing On My Back

10. Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
Although they are esteemed as fathers of the “emo” compositions, Weezer's records are also pure punk pop in style. “My Name Is Jonas” was their 1st popular song and then a video putting the band in a Happy Days episode helped make the single even bit more popular.
